British-born Bollywood actress Amy Jackson has booked a recurring role in Season 3 of Supergirl.
Jackson will portray Imra Ardeen, known to avid comic book readers as the Legion Of Superheroes member Saturn Girl. The character is described as a kind, smart, and strong-willed hero who uses her telekinetic ability to help those in need. She was born on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, and arrives on Earth to help Supergirl face one of her biggest threats.
This is not the first time that the Legion Of Superheroes has been teased on Supergirl. We've already seen a Legion flight ring on the show in the Fortress of Solitude.
The role marks Jackson’s U.S. acting debut, having begun her career as a model and since established herself as one of India’s key leading ladies.
Starring Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Jeremy Jordan, Katie McGrath, Calista Flockhart, and Odette Annable, Supergirl will be flying back to television screens on Monday, October 9th at 8pm.
