Review: Dynamite - John Wick #2

The origin story of John Wick continues!

Picking up where the debut issue left off, John Wick #2 transports readers to Texas. Here, a familiar face introduces the famed ex-con to the local branch of the mysterious Continental Hotel - a neutral zone where professional killers spend their down time.

It is at this new location that John receives payment for saving a friend, with the organization making it quite clear that he'd be a very welcome addition. However, with John out on a mission of vengeance against a trio of powerful foes from his past, it's quite clear that John may very well have a problem sticking to the rules of the Continental.

John eventually leaves and begins putting a plan into motion that'll bring him into close quarters with the vicious trio and their numerous hired guns - and when that moment finally arrives, get ready for a few final pages that can only be described as John Woo meets Michael Bay!

This issue may be short on the dialogue, but it makes up for this with some seriously epic action that consists of flying fists, showers of bullets and more than one fierce fireball!

It's John Wick at his finest as he continues his mission for vengeance against the backdrop of a mysterious organization that is just as likely to kill the ex-con as they are to welcome him.
Greg Pak and Giovanni Valletta have once again combined their talents to give fans another action-packed chapter that their sure to eat up with fevered determination! It's crazy fun and sure to keep you on the edge of your seat from the moment you open it up!

Don't miss out!

Rating: 4/5 - "This is John Wick at his finest, dispensing justice with fire and fury!"

John Wick #2 hits newsstands on Wednesday, April 18th.
