Review: Dynamite - James Bond: The Body #5

Bond is back! And he's taking a beating!

Dynamite Comics brings the top MI6 agent in the country back to newsstands this week with the fifth exciting issue of James Bond: The Body - which sees the super spy in hot pursuit.

The night is calm and quiet, but for James Bond, he'll be too busy attempting to stop a viral terrorist attack on Trafalgar Square to take the time to notice. Desperate as a trapped animal, Bond bolts through the crowds of people refusing to let his mark escape. His lungs burn, his brain screams - will he be able to save the world once again, or die in the process?

Finally catching up with his mark, Bond tackles the man and pins him to the ground, just as local law enforcement intervenes and takes the dapper agent as a threat to the city. Although he tries to explain, his efforts only succeed in Bond receiving a taser bolt to the chest. Slammed to the concrete like some common thug, Bond fights his way, broken and bleeding, back to his feet

Locating his mark once again, Bond gives chase and takes the man down, however bringing the terrorist in proves to be an impossible task as Bond is forced to take him out in an effort to claim the suitcase filled with a deadly virus strain.

Like every issue that has come before it, the fifth issue of James Bond: The Body is an action-packed rollercoaster ride of a read that hits the gas from the first panel, and refuses to let up.

Kot and Sherman have unleashed an excellent issue that once again plays out like the countless pulse-pounding action sequences seen throughout five decades of films.

Fans are sure to get a real kick out of this latest Bond book!

Rating: 5/5 - "A pulse-pounding issue with the fate of the world hanging in the balance."

James Bond: The Body #5 hits newsstands on May 16th.
