Paramount Developing New Ninja Turtles Movie

Two years after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, Paramount Pictures has begun development on a new movie centred around the Heroes In A Half Shell.

The studio has hired Bad Words scribe Andrew Dodge to write the script for the film, which the studio will use to reboot the franchise following two rather disappointing previous installments. Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller will produce.

Based on the classic comic book by Kevin Eastman and Kevin Laird, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follows four wisecracking pizza-loving turtles named after the famed Renaissance artists Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo and Donatello. The foursome protect New York City by means of ninja skills acquired from a radioactive rat named Splinter.

Released in 2014, the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie brought in $493-Million, while the sequel was only able to bring in half of that two years later.

New Line released three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies throughout the 1990's.
