Earlier this week, word broke that Jeremy Irons had joined the cast of HBO's Watchmen.
Now, three more familiar faces have joined the highly anticipated pilot.
Sleepy Hollow alum Tom Mison, Titanic actress Frances Fisher and Superfly thespian Jacob Ming-Trent are the latest additions to the cast of the show. However, as with all previous casting announcements, details surrounding their roles are being kept quiet at this time.
The trio join a cast that also includes the aforementioned Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens and Andrew Howard.
The series, from Lost creator Damon Lindelof, serves as a take on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ iconic limited comic series. Set in an alternate history where superheroes are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.
The series will not adapt the classic comic, but be an original story that remixes them.
Damon Lindelof wrote the pilot and will serve as an executive producer alongside Nicole Kassell, who is directing, and Tom Spezialy respectively.
