Welcome To The Garden Of Eden.
Lara Croft returns to comic shops this month in the pages of Tomb Raider: Inferno. Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly are back to continue the next chapter of this exciting new miniseries from Dark Horse Comics - one that finds everyone's favorite globetrotting archaeologist tied up.
Suspended over the mouth of the Tomb Of Eden, it is here that Lara Croft meets a fellow adventurer named Nadija Katlego, a rather enlightened woman who has seen her fair share of darkness and despair throughout her life. Together, the duo descend deeper and deeper within the Tomb Of Eden, with Nadija filling Lara in about her past and filling her head with some rather interesting revelations regarding Trinity and the level of power they hold over the world.
Eventually, Lara and her new acquaintance reach the bottom of the tomb, which holds within its ancient walls the entrance to the Garden Of Eden! It is here that Lara Croft is invited to partake of something truly special - something that will finally open her eyes and allow her revelations regarding the world, religion and God as never before.
The latest issue of Tomb Raider: Inferno serves as a fascinating expansion of an already interesting story. Here, readers will watch as a new and major player into Lara's world steps onto the stage ready to fill in some missing pieces of the puzzle.
But, is she Lara's friend, or foe? Her way to salvation, or death?
Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly have successfully woven together the second step in Lara's greatest adventure - and left the door open for something truly spectacular! Fans of the Tomb Raider franchise will not be disappointed with this latest issue, which is certain to have its readers awaiting its follow-up with more than a little eager expectation.
Rating: 5/5 - "A fascinating read that takes a step back from the action in exchange for filling in some rather interesting plot points that fans are certain to devour."
Tomb Raider: Inferno #2 arrives on newsstands July 11th.
