Review: DC Comics - Superman #1


Get ready for a bold new chapter!

The greatest superhero of all time returns this week in the pages of Superman #1.

Reuniting the superstar team of Brian Michael Bendis and artist Ivan Reis, this new book flies out of the fallout that was Man Of Steel, and sees Clark looking at the world through new eyes.

Now on a desperate search to find his family, Superman realizes that he can't just abandon Earth for his own selfish desires, and so he returns and begins to ponder what more he could do, both for the planet and his own city of Metropolis. However, when the Martian Manhunter suggests that Clark step up and serve as the Earth's leader, one capable of leading the human race to brighter and better times, Clark becomes slightly hesitant and realizes that he's got some serious thinking to do!

But first, he'll need to devise a plan to get the planet out of the Phantom Zone...

...and back where it belongs!


Superman #1 is a strong start to a brand new series that fans are sure to love! Bendis is on a roll following his stellar Man Of Steel miniseries, and this new title doesn't miss a beat! Additionally, Ivan Reis is at the top of his game, offering some seriously gorgeous art that is truly worthy of Superman's timeless legacy.

Both come together to create a most satisfying debut issue certain to have fans and readers eager for more over the coming months! If you were a fan of DC's Man Of Steel, you need to pick up the debut issue of Superman, it's simply fantastic and isn't afraid to show what it can do!
