Review: DC Comics - Hawkman #6

Size Does Matter!

One of the very best books of the year returns to comic shops this week with Robert Venditti and Bryan Hitch's Hawkman!

In the exciting sixth issue, Carter Hall and Ray Palmer continue their battle against the rampaging Moz-Ga in the depths of the Microverse. As the battle rages on, Hawkman continues his quest to locate the Nth metal, the gravity-defying weapon that may defeat the deathbringers.

He soon realizes that the element is hidden beneath the planet's surface, which leads him to unearthing a spaceship that belonged to one of his past lives. As the duo escape Moz-Ga aboard the craft, Carter Hall decides to continue his journey. Upon their return to Palmer’s lab, Carter asks his friend to join him. The Atom refuses however, deciding to stay behind to protect the Microverse from dangers lurking in the shadows.

As the friends part ways, we're treated to a glimpse of the deathbringers as they rain down death and destruction across the galaxy - along with a mysterious winged figure calling out to challenge an unknown foe known as the Great Betrayer! This one ends with more questions than answers, but amps up the fun in some very big ways!

The latest issue of Hawkman continues to raise the bar! Packed full of Hitch's larger than life art, and Venditti's true to life glimpse into the moral of friendship, this sixth issue sends this amazing series into new and mysterious waters that we can't wait to traverse in the coming months!

We can't heap enough praise on DC's Hawkman!

A fascinating, Multiverse spanning adventure that features the classic winged warrior at his finest, Hawkman is by far the superhero book to beat in 2018!

Rating: 5/5 - "From the rain soaked buildings of Thanagar, to the windswept deserts of Ancient Egypt, this is DC's Winged Warrior the way be was meat to be seen!"

Hawkman #6 is on newsstands now.

Until next time, Infinite Earths fans!
