Review: Dark Horse Comics - Stranger Things #4

Will The Wise Is All Out Of Tricks.

The stupendous tie-in has officially come to an end in Stranger Things #4.

Will Byers has been evading the Demogorgon since his mysterious arrival in the Upside Down, but with his hope of escape dwindling, there's nothing else for him to do. Nothing, that is, but seek protection within the walks of Castle Byers - a beloved fort he built during happier times.

However, what once served as a comfort for the young boy will now lure a monster right to him. Will Castle Byers afford Will The Wise the protection he so desperately craves? And, who is the mysterious apparition that keeps reaching out to him from his home of Hawkins, Indiana?

Get ready as all the important pieces are about to fall into place, carving a bridge that successfully fills the gaps between the first two seasons of the Netflix phenomenon!

A truly satisfying series from beginning to end, Dark Horse Comics has brought together some very important pieces in the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Will Byers!

Jody Houser and Stefano Martino have knocked this companion piece out of the park time and again, successfully filling in the gaps and making the fictitious world of Stranger Things a fuller, richer, more chilling place than ever before! Fans will be hard pressed to find a companion piece that so largely delivers on a promise of satisfaction, and we're truly sad to see it end!

Here's hoping Dark Horse Comics will revisit the world of Stranger Things sooner rather than later! It's a magnificent property that deserves to mined for future stories off the television screen, and we sincerely hope it won't be too long before we're back in Hawkins once more!

Rating: 5/5 - "An essential part of the Stranger Things mythos that is not to be missed!"

Stranger Things #4 is available now.
