Review: DC Comics - Green Arrow #48

Count Vertigo Has Returned!

As Oliver Queen finds himself running a little thin in attempting to protect his city, Count Vertigo escapes and whips the denizens of Seattle into a frenzy.

In the chaos, Oliver meets a new vigilante with no interest in working alongside the Emerald Archer, however Oliver's curiosity is placed on the sidelines when Vertigo confronts him once again. Yet, it is not the Green Arrow that the supervillain is after, but rather Roy Harper - the masked vigilante known as Arsenal that put him away in the first place.

And he'll do anything to get even with Oliver Queen's sidekick.

Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing team up to bring forth a new chapter in the saga of the Green Arrow, one which sees Oliver's fragile psyche in danger of being ripped to shreds! It's a fast-paced, action-packed first step that fans are sure to love!

Meanwhile, the art of the always talented Javier Fernandez is on point once again, bringing a familiar flair to the Green Arrow mythos. Whether he's capturing the violent maelstrom of chaos caused by Vertigo's return, or simply dabbling within the tortured mind of Oliver Queen, Fernandez is once again at the top of his game! And we can't wait to see what's next!

Rating: 4/5 - "A fun and fast-paced first step fans are sure to love!"
