Godzilla vs Biollante Super XII Model Coming in December

Godzilla fans will surely want to save their pennies come December, when Japanese Hobby manufacturer Kotobukiya releases their awesome looking Super XII anti-Godzilla mecha plastic model! Based on its appearance in Godzilla vs Biollante, this 1/144 scale model features plenty of details and is sure to fit right in amongst any Godzilla collection. Read on for more details.

In celebration of Godzilla’s 60th anniversary, the Japanese Hobby manufacturer Kotobukiya Co., Ltd. is releasing a 1/144 scale plastic model of the Super XII from GODZILLA VS BIOLLANTE (ゴジラ VS ビオランテ, Gojira Tai Biorante, 1989). The anti-Godzilla mecha will be available starting in December 2014.

The nose of the Super XII can be opened to reveal its main weapon, the Fire Mirror, constructed of plated, metallic-finish and clear parts. The vehicle’s arsenal also features interchangeable Super Napalm and Super Missile pieces. The adjustable display stand is sculpted in the design of a Thunder Control System mine (used to increase Godzilla’s body temperature with microwaves). Also included is a MBT-92 Mazer Beam Tank, produced in scale with the Super XII.

The Super XII kit is sculpted by Ayumu Ishii (Kotobukiya’s D-Style and Armored Core lines) and Yudai Itoyama (Kotobukiya’s Character Model line), and constructed of PS (polystyrene), PE (polyethelyne) and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene).
