Jared Leto isn't looking to step away from The Joker role following Suicide Squad. In fact, that actor looks at David Ayer's film as simply an introduction to the new Clown Prince Of Crime.
“I hope it’s an introduction (of the Joker) … and not the end!” Leto said speaking with The Toronto Sun. “Because I could easily just play the Joker a couple more times and then retire. Because it’s so fulfilling and so creative and it’s so imaginative. It’s really difficult to think about doing anything else!”
And what is Leto hoping for most of all? To square off with Ben Affleck in The Batman.
“I think it would be incredible to see Batman and the Joker go head-to-head! This Batman and this Joker. I mean, I don’t know, that might be too much! But that would be fun,” he explained.
Well, Affleck has previously said he's hoping The Batman will be the ultimate Batman movie.
Can you really pull that off without The Joker? We think not!
Look for Jared Leto to debut as The Joker in Suicide Squad on August 5th.
