Read The Haunting Bio For The Ghost Predator

NECA has updated their official Twitter account with an advanced look at the bio for their upcoming Ghost Predator figure. Part of Series 16, alongside the Stalker and Spiked Tail Predators, Ghost is inspired by the classic Kenner toy originally released back in the mid-90's.

You can read the full bio, and check out the cardback for Predator Series 16 below...

Narrowly escaping a Super Predator raid on his village, the Predator known as Ghost has used his “presumed dead” status to his advantage. He has devoted his life to systematically eliminating the entire race of those responsible for the death of his people. Living in complete solitude, Ghost has taught himself extreme focus and patience, often scouting Super Predator tribes for weeks before a calculated strike. Using specialized thermal dampening netting, he is only seen seconds before a kill. This has caused him to become a subject of Super Predator lore – a “boogie man” whom his targets fear. The psychological advantage gives Ghost and edge in combat, as his opponents are often fear-stricken upon seeing him. His plasma caster is only for defense: Ghost prefers the death blow of a cleaver sword or smart disc, ensuring that his prey see him at their moment of death.

That is one chilling bio! NECA is certainly making sure this haunting Yautja lives up to its name!

Look for the Ghost Predator to arrive, along with the rest of Series 16, at retail this Fall.

Ian McDiarmid Will Not Appear In Rogue One

While Darth Vader may be back to make life difficult for the Rebel Alliance this December in Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, he'll be doing it without his master.

While there were rumors that Darth Sidious could be appearing in the film, actor Ian McDiarmid has put these to rest by revealing that he has no involvement with the upcoming film at all.

Speaking to a reporter at the Amsterdam Comic-Con this past weekend, the actor said:

"Rogue One’s on its way, when I was in charge of things – I mean the Emperor, not me. I am not featured in [the movie] myself, but I understand that Darth Vader may be making an appearance."

Granted, this could be a misdirect, although it seems unlikely.

Ian McDiarmid portrayed the character in 1983's Return of the Jedi and in all three of the prequel movies, which ran from 1999 until 2005.

So, while we won't be seeing the Sith Master in the newest chapter of the Star Wars saga, we will be seeing some familiar faces when the movie does arrive. Not only will Darth Vader be back for the new movie, but Senator Bail Organa and Mon Mothma too.

Starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Alan Tudyk, Forest Whitaker, James Earl Jones, Jimmy Smits and Genevieve O’Reilly, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrives on the big screen December 16th, 2016.

New Arkham VR Featurette Goes Behind The Scenes

The official PlayStation blog has released a brand new behind the scenes video for Batman: Arkham VR, the next chapter of the popular video game series that sees players fully immersed in the world of The Dark Knight - by dawning the cowl of the World's Greatest Detective.

Writes Corey Brotherson following a trip out to visit Rocksteady Studios...

Between taking a look around Wayne Manor and the Batcave, suiting up, testing Bruce Wayne’s high tech equipment, and investigating a fresh crime scene, it truly felt like stepping into the grimy and acclaimed Arkham-verse — using Bats’ brain rather than brawn to investigate the very personal cerebral playground rarely explored in games starring the World’s Greatest Detective.

You can check out the new featurette posted in the player below...

Expect more exciting news as we edge ever closer to the release of PlayStation VR in October.

David Meunier Joins Arrow As Ishmael Gregor

Justified actor David Meunier has joined the cast of Arrow as Ishmael Gregor.

The character is described as the slick and intimidating Pakhan (Godfather) of the Bratva, whom Anatoli (David Nykl) reports and takes a special interest in Oliver Queen.

Interestingly, in the pages of DC Comics, Gregor was a magical being, given powers by the demon known as Sabbac. However, given that Season 5 of Arrow will be returning to its gritty, street-level roots and giving fans a magic-free year, the show's take on the character will be much more grounded and centered on Gregor's more earthly ambitions.

Starring Stephen Amell, Willa Holland, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Rick Gonzalez, Josh Segarra, Paul Blackthorne, Echo Kellum, Madison McLaughlin, Chad L. Coleman, David Meunier and David Nyki, Arrow takes aim for Season 5 on Wednesday, October 5th at 8pm.

Brad Bird Updates On The Incredibles 2

It has been 12 years since The Incredibles first arrived in theaters and introduced us to a whole slew of brand new Disney-based superheroes. Now, more than a full decade later, Pixar and director Brad Bird are gearing up revisit this fantastically fun world with a sequel due to arrive in 2019.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Bird followed in typical Pixar fashion by keeping tight-lipped about the project, but assuring the trade that it is definitely happening.

“It’s very actively moving, and we’re excited about it,” he said. “[We’re] trying to take it in some new directions.”

This comes as no surprise given how the landscape has changed since the first movie was released in 2004. Back then, the only major superhero flicks were Fox's X-Men series and the Toby McGuire lead Spider-Man. When The Incredibles 2 arrives in 2019, it'll be squaring off against a literal onslaught of superhero films including Captain Marvel, Shazam, an untitled DC project and a fourth Avengers movie to name but a few.

Still, Bird promises the sequel will feel familiar to fans of the original, while adding something new and exciting to the mix. “Hopefully it’s the same characters and feel, but going in a new direction,” Bird added. “I mean, that’s the trick with a sequel. It’s repeating yourself, without repeating yourself.”

The Incredibles 2 arrives in theaters on June 21, 2019.

And we can't wait!
