New DC Super Hero Girls Series Set For 2018

A brand new DC Super Hero Girls animated series is heading to Cartoon Network next year.

Based off of the popular series of direct-to-video movies and digital webisodes, the series will follow DC heroes such as Wonder Woman, Batgirl and Supergirl as they try to deal with being teenagers and navigating school while also fighting crime in Metropolis.

Harley Quinn, Zatanna, Bumblebee, Katana, and Green Lantern Jessica Cruz are just some of the other DC Comics characters set to appear in the new show coming from Warner Bros. Animation. The series will sport fresh character designs from Emmy-winning producer Lauren Faust, known for her work on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Sam Register will executive produce.

The DC Super Hero Girls were first introduced in 2015 by DC Entertainment, Mattel and Warner Bros. Studios. Aimed at girls between the ages of 6-12, the brand also encompasses  toys, books, clothing, animation, digital content, and graphic novels.
