Yesterday, it was announced that Starship Troopers would be getting an animated sequel.
Featuring the voice talents of Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer and comedian DeRay Davis, Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars continues the adventure first begun in Paul Verhoeven's cult classic Sci-Fi film and is set to screen for a single night thanks to a new partnership between Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions and Fathom Events.
Ed Neumeier, who worked on the original Starship Troopers, wrote the new CGI feature.
The film sees Rico demoted to a satellite station on Mars, which just so happens to be the target of a secret bug attack. So, it falls to Rico and a bad of new recruits to keep the planet safe.
