Over the let three seasons on Gotham, fans have crossed paths with Fish Mooney more than once. The last time we saw her, an infected Jim Gordon put a sword through her stomach.
Granted, Fish has died numerous times since the prequel series took off back in 2014, and she's always found a way to return. However, it sounds as though that won't be happening in the future. Speaking with ComicBook.com, series executive producer John Stephens has confirmed that Jada Pinkett-Smith’s character won't be rising from the dead this time around.
"I’m afraid that’s it. Now, that one was it. At a certain point, you gotta say ‘Definitely.’ People die at a certain point, and that’s the second or third time they die [on Gotham]."
Being an original character created specifically for the show, we always thought Fish would bite the dust before Bruce took up the mantle of Batman - and it looks as though this is finally the case. Fish is gone for good, and she's nit coming back.
Will you miss seeing the character causing mayhem throughout the city?
Gotham returns for its fourth season on Thursday, October 21st.
