Watch The Trailer For Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution

The Pokémon Company has released the first trailer for Pokémon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution, a remake of the 1998 anime classic that brought the hugely popular Pokémon franchise to the big screen for the very first time with a story that saw Ash Ketchum and friends encountering the fan-favorite clone known as Mewtwo.

90's kids who grew up during the heyday of Pokémon popularity ate it up, and there's no doubt every last one of them, now grownups with families of their own, will be more than a little excited to see the beloved feature film updated for a new generation of fans!

Check out the full three dimensional trailer posted below...

Pokémon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution hits theatres in Japan on July 12th. Currently, there is no word when or how this one will see release in North America - however, we're betting it'll see a limited theatrical release at some point in the Fall, if we had to guess.

This latest film is sure to pluck at the nostalgic heartstrings of older Pokémon fans, whom we've no doubt will be lining up around the block to check it out any way they possibly can!

What do you think, Infinite Earths fans?

A Letter To Our Fans

It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone. And so, as 2019 looms on the horizon, we felt it was the perfect time to pen another letter thanking all our numerous fans and followers across the globe. Sadly, the problems that plagued us in 2017 followed us into 2018, but we were able to keep our heads above water and take part in some truly wonderful opportunities over the last 365 days. In addition to celebrating our six year launch anniversary this past October, one which offered us a week worth of exclusive content, we continued to interview numerous talented individuals, and worked alongside some truly wonderful organizations. Additionally, we watched our social media presence continue to grow and expand to new heights - something that just wouldn't be possible without every last one of you!

For all that continued love, kindness and support we once again sincerely say thank you!

Thank you to all of those out there who return to read and comment on our content each and every day! Thank you for sharing our little site with your friends and family. Thank you for all the encouraging emails and messages that get us through the hard times and push us to make Infinite Earths the very best that it can be. And thank you to all of those who've helped us get through the last year with our heads held high and our hearts filled with eager expectation for what's to come in 2019.

We still don't know why you choose us over the larger, better equipped sites, but to have you as a fan and loyal reader warms our hearts with each passing day!

Unfortunately, last year also brought with it more than it's fair share of hardships, including multiple family issues, a rather serious bout of illness and the deaths of some dear friends and family members - including a beloved aunt. This kept us away from the site quite a bit, especially during the colder months, but thanks to those wonderful letters of encouragement, we continued to forge ahead and finally push Infinite Earths into the future as we had hoped!

Not only were we finally able to land some quotes on a few fine graphic novels throughout the year, but we finally kicked off our YouTube adventure just a few weeks ago and finished off the year by releasing five videos in mere days! The support for this channel has been superb, and we can't thank you enough for supporting our newest venture here at Infinite Earths! We will continue to work on launching our brand into new and exciting fields and promise to do our best at bringing you the latest and best breaking news from the pop culture multiverse in the new year.

Each and every one of you mean the world to us, and as such, we will never cease to bring you all the best content that we possibly can. Get ready for one of our most exciting years yet! We can't wait to bring you along for the ride!

Before wrapping things up, we'd like to take a moment to personally thank all of you who have helped us get to where we are at this point in time.

First off, a very special thanks to those dear and beloved family members who've stood by our side and offered advice on how to help our brand grow. Thank you for keeping us up when we're feeling down and assuring us that everything will be alright! Your words and support have kept us going through some very dark and uncertain times - we wouldn't be here without any of you!

Secondly, thank you to those who've helped us throughout the year with the daily running and operations of Infinite Earths!

Thank you to the fine folks over at B&K CollectablesDorkside Toys and The Toy Trove! Thank you to Randy Falk, Summer Mullins and Peter Suh, of NECA, Angelo and the team at Hiya Toys, Nick at Big Bad Toy Store, and Kopper Joi Overton and the team at Jakks Pacific!

Our Favorite Films Of 2018

2018 will probably go down in history as one of the biggest years for movies.

From Black Panther to Aquaman, Tomb Raider to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the last 365 days seemed to have a little something for everyone to love at the box office. With so many big names hitting the big screen this year, assembling our list of favorites was a rather Herculean task the likes of which we've not faced in quite some time.

However, we gave it our best shot. And so, while we're sure there will be more than one of you out there eager to tell us how wrong we were, here is a list of our Favorite Films Of 2018...

10. Tomb Raider - Video game movies took a pretty big step forward in 2018, and Tomb Raider kicked it all off when released back in January. Featuring a much more grounded approach based around the newest series of video games from Crystal Dynamics, the film follows a younger and less experienced version of Lara Croft as she attempts to find her missing father. Alicia Vikander superbly embodies the titular role and, while it may not be as entertaining as the Indiana Jones films, it's a fun adventure movie in it's own right that takes the video game movie genera in the right direction for the first time in years!

Read our review of Tomb Raider here.

9. Rampage - Further proof of how the video game movie genera evolved in 2018 comes in the form of the Dwayne Johnson creature feature, Rampage. Based on the classic Midway arcade game of the same name, the film focuses on three animals who end up being mutated after being exposed to a mysterious government chemical. What follows is pure popcorn entertainment as the three monsters crusade across North America and leave a path of destruction in their wake! This one does a great job paying homage to the source material, and isn't the worst way to spend a few hours worth of downtime this winter.

Read our review of Rampage here.

8. Bumblebee - After ten years worth of schlock, we finally have a Transformers movie that actually deserves to be one of the year's best! Filled with heart and charm, Bumblebee is a well crafted love letter to the original Robots In Disguise and plays out in a near Spielbergian way that is sure to sit well with fans of the genera. In fact, the movie is so good that we sincerely hope director Travis Knight is down for more and that Paramount uses Bumblebee as a means to reboot the franchise and forget all those horrid Michael Bay sequels that came after the summer of 2007.

7. Ready Player One - Crammed full of pop culture references and Easter Eggs galore, Steven Spielberg's adaption of Ernest Cline's bestselling novel is a candy coated warning of how our obsession with the past could very well shape our future. It's wonderful to look at, and plays out like most Spielberg movies that have come before it - with a truly stellar young cast at its core and enough nerdy surprises to keep viewers in eager expectation of what's on the horizon. Consider this one to be referred to as a classic within the next few years.

Read our review of Ready Player One here.

6. Incredibles 2 - We had to wait 14 years before rejoining the Parr family on the big screen, but the wait was totally worth it. A sequel that successfully grew up with its audience, Incredibles 2 put the spotlight on Helen while keeping Bob at home with the kids to navigate the day-to-day heroics of normal life. It's a timely, relevant and fun sequel that delivered in every sense of the word! We just hope it won't take another 14 years for the next Incredibles movie.

5. Ralph Breaks The Internet - Another highly anticipated Disney sequel that graced the big screen this year was Ralph Breaks The Internet. The sequel to the 2012 hit, Wreck-It Ralph, the follow-up sees Ralph and Vanellope heading to out to the World Wide Web to secure a replacement part for the Sugar Rush arcade cabinet. While it's heavy on the feel good fun, this one also offered up a rather powerful message about cyber bullying and proved that words on a screen can hurt as much as those spoken in real life! Way to hit us with a one-two punch in the feels, Disney!

4. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse - This animated feature film from Sony Pictures has been generating some pretty big Oscar buzz since hitting the big screen back in November, and it's easy to see why. Bolstering a unique style of animation, a superb voice cast and multiple versions of Marvel's beloved Wall-Crawler, this is one of the best Spider-Man movies to grace the silver screens! Into The Spider-Verse is not only one of the best movies of the year, but easily the best animated feature film to see release this year! We wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see it walk away with a golden statue early in the new year!

3. Black Panther - Like it or not, Ryan Coogler's Black Panther was a culturally significant hit that sent people to the box office in droves during one of the coldest months of the year! Chadwick Boseman perfectly embodied the titular hero and, while it was far from a perfect addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it lifted the curtain slightly on what fans can expect moving forward and proved that big budget comic book movies are not something reserved for summer.

2. Aquaman - Following the rather poor performance of Justice League at the box office last year, Warner Bros. and DC needed a win in 2018 - and that's exactly what they got with James Wan's Aquaman! Currently trekking close to a $1-Billon dollar box office, the DC flick features superb visuals and expands upon the cinematic side of the DC Universe as never before. The world building is excellent and, despite the fact that this one features tonnes of different elements ripped straight from the pages of DC Comics, the end result is an exciting and palatable deep sea adventure that proves DC is once again on the right track!

Read our review of Aquaman here.

1. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - Perhaps it's due to the fact that the Jurassic Park franchise played such a big part in our childhood. Or, maybe it's that dinosaurs are just so damn awesome! Whatever the case may be, J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom takes the top spot on our list of favorite films for the year. Not only did it feature an interesting mixture of adventure and horror, but it also did a great job of expanding upon the concepts explored in 2015's Jurassic World and took this beloved franchise into some new and uncharted waters that made it feel fresh, new and exciting even after 25 years! We're more than a little excited to see where things will go next, and love the fact that the Jurassic Park franchise can still drive turnstile numbers to movie theaters that rival some of the biggest intellectual properties in history!

There you have it, Infinite Earths fans! What did you think of our list? Please keep in mind that this is our list of favorite films for the year, so we're certain there will be many of you out there who will call us out on more than one entry listed here. Still, we hope that the ten films seen here best represent the truly great films of 2018. It was an exciting year at the box office, and we feel that these are the ones that made the last year one worth going to the movies!

Until next time, Infinite Earths fans!

The Top 10 Best Comics Of 2018

Comic books had another banner year in 2018, bringing forth 365 days worth of epic sequels, excellent crossovers and new solo books that took to the skies as never before! Here is our selection of the Top 10 Best Comics to hit newsstands - and digital platforms - this year.

10. Archie Meets Batman '66 - This charming and chummy crossover from Archie Comics and DC Entertainment perfectly blends two major 60's era icons together into one of the most pleasing books of the year! Packed to the max with campy fun, this series was unafraid to embrace its goofy side and show the world that comic books can still be fun. Additionally, it served as a heartwarming send off to the late Adam West, who so perfectly embodies the spirit of the Bright Knight on the printed page as well as he did on the small screen!

9. Star Trek vs. Transformers - 2018 seemed to be the year of the crossover, and IDW's excellent Star Trek vs. Transformers was easily one of the best to hit newsstands this year! Honestly, there was so much to love about this one as John Barber and Mike Johnson brought the crew from 1973's Star Trek: The Animated Series together with Optimus Prime and the Autobots in an effort to protect a mining colony from the vile Decepticons. Oh yeah, and the Enterprise even transforms and dukes it out with the hulking Decepticon monster known as Trypticon!

8. StarCraft: Scavengers - We usually don't really like comics based on video games, but StarCraft: Scavengers from Dark Horse Comics really took us by surprise! In this suspenseful series, a crew of scavengers happen upon a derelict ship in the hopes of making a big score. However, they soon discover something else is aboard and waiting for them in the shadows - and it's not looking to make friends! Jody Houser had a really strong year in 2018, but with its frightful plot and killer art, StarCraft: Scavengers was in a class all its own!

7. Red Sonja/Tarzan - We couldn't get enough of this excellent Dynamite Comics crossover from Gail Simone and Walter Geovani! It took two of the biggest names in pop culture history and put them into direct conflict with an immortal warrior obsessed with the ultimate hunt! It was gripping, exciting, beautiful to behold, and proved that a good comic book doesn't have to be all capes and cowls. This fantastic crossover served as an expertly crafted love letter to the adventure stories of the early 20th century and gave two truly great heroes some much deserved time in the spotlight.

6. Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica - We've always been fans of the truly unique here at Infinite Earths, and Peter David's Battlestar Galactica book took this title with ease in 2018! Bringing together the crews of both the original and rebooted science fiction series and pitting them against one another in a tense and deadly plot courtesy of an old foe was sheer genius - and the type of story we've been hoping to see in the Battlestar Galactica universe for more than a few years now. Longtime fans are sure to get a kick out of this one!

5. Venom - It was a pretty big year for Venom in 2018, and Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman got the hype train rolling months before the Ruben Fleischer film defied expectations on the big screen! This is an action-packed title worthy of the Wicked Webslinger - who takes on an ancient evil in the aftermath of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s collapse. Easily one of the best books we've ever read to feature the symbiotic Lethal Protector, Marvel's latest Venom series is an adventure a thousand years in the making! Fans are sure to eat it up with eager anticipation.

4. Aliens: Dust To Dust - This terrifying coming of age tale from the always talented Gabriel Hardman, Aliens: Dust To Dust follows a young boy on a frightful quest for survival, and explores some fascinating concepts that expands upon the immensely popular Aliens mythos as never before! Combing the tension of Ridley Scott and the fast-paced action of James Cameron, Hardman has taken the best aspects of this universe and combined them into a truly exciting tale of terror that fans will want to experience time and again! This is Aliens as you've never seen it before!

3. Plastic Man - Few books had us cracking up as much as Plastic Man in 2018! Gail Simone and Adriana Melo gave the C-List hero the miniseries he truly deserved, pitting Plas against a top secret organization of villians with a sense of humor, sarcasm and inappropriateness that only DC's stretchy superhero could possibly pull off! We hope this title will continue on into the new year! It was a real knee-slapper of a read, one that we're far from finished with! Please, DC! Give 'ol Plastic Man more of the love he so richly deserves and keep the good times rollin'!

2. Predator Hunters II - A sequel that tops its predecessor in every possible way! This excellent follow-up drops the team in war torn Afghanistan to hunt a bigger, badder Predator. However, along the way, they'll have to deal with violent warring tribes, relentless soldiers and a top secret government organization intent on harnessing Predator technology for their own use! This is one brilliant and bloody blockbuster, an action-packed book that stands as a true testament to the endless appeal of this beloved franchise even more than three decades down the road!

1. Hawkman - Robert Venditti and Bryan Hitch soared to new heights in 2018 with Hawkman! The answer to the question 'What would happen if DC tackled Indiana Jones?', this excellent series follows Carter Hall across space and time as he looks to unlock the secrets of his past and defeat a deadly foe the likes of which we've never seen before! From the plains of Ancient Egypt to the rain-soaked streets of Thanagar, this is an epic adventure that finally gives one of DC's most beloved Golden Age heroes the story he deserves! Hawkman takes the title of Best Comic Of 2018 with ease, spreading its wings and flying above the competition with reckless abandon - proving the sky truly is the limit, and that old heroes never die - they simply get better with age!

Until next time, Infinite Earths fans!

Here's to another fun-filled year of comic books in 2019!

Aquaman Continues Its Box Office Reign

The final weekend of 2018 belongs to Aquaman.

The DC flick continued its reign as king of the box office for a second straight weekend, bringing in an additional $52-Million here at home for a domestic cume now totalling $188-Million.

Overseas, the James Wan project raked in an additional $85.4-Million from 78 separate markets, taking its international total up to $560-Million. This brings the total worldwide gross of Aquaman up to $748.8-Million - officially eclipsing the totals garnered by fellow DC Extended Universe companions Man Of SteelSuicide Squad and Justice League respectively.

The film now ranks as the eleventh largest domestic release based on a DC Comic after just ten days in release. Meanwhile, it also sits as the  fifth largest worldwide release based on a DC Comic and the second largest international release behind Christopher Nolan's 2012 blockbuster, The Dark Knight Rises. The movie opens in Italy on January 1st, and Japan on February 8th.

With Aquaman on track toward a $1-Billion box office, it'll be very interesting to see where the film ends up once its theatrical run has officially come to an end.

Aquaman takes place shortly after the events of Zack Snyder's Justice League and sees the titular hero returning to Atlantis in an effort to stop his power hungry brother from starting a war with the surface world. The move bolsters impressive special effects, and does an excellent job expanding on the mythology of the DC Universe in a way never before seen on the big screen.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

Starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Ludi Lin, Willem Dafoe and Doloh Lundgren, Aquaman is in theatres now.

How many times will you be seeing it?
