Chris Hemsworth Circling Men In Black Spinoff

The God Of Thunder may be about to square off against the Worst Scum of the Universe.

Chris Hemsworth is in early negotiations to star in the upcoming Men In Black spinoff from Sony Pictures. The Fate Of The Furious helmer F. Gary Gray is in talks to direct the film, which has a script by Iron Man writers Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.

Akin to how Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park franchise after 14 years, the new Men In Black film will focus on new characters, but inhabit the same world already established in the previous films starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.

Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are back as producers while Steven Spielberg is returning as executive producer. The film is slated for release on June 14th, 2019.

When the first Men In Black was released back in 1997, it would go on to gross $589-Million at the worldwide box office. Two sequels would follow, thus allowing the popular franchise to amass a healthy $1.5-Billion worldwide.
