Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One is on track to dominate the worldwide box office.

The virtual reality adventure, an adaption of Ernest Cline's bestselling novel, brought in a solid $17-Million during its first Friday in North American theatres. This puts the film on track for a domestic debut of $53-Million, earning it the top spot at the box office and exceeding initial expectations that put the film somewhere between $38-$42-Million.

Overseas, the film opened day and date in 62 international markets, and earned roughly $28-Million on Friday, pushing its international bank up to $42-Million. This puts the worldwide total of Ready Player One at over $95-Million.

The film is set in 2045, where mankind frequents an elaborate virtual reality world called Oasis in an effort to escape the grim reality of the physical world around them. It is against this backdrop that a young man by the name of Wade Watts discovers clues to a game within the program that promises the winner full ownership of the Oasis.

Starring Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller, Simon Pegg, and Mark Rylance, the film was penned by Ernest Cline and Zak Penn and is directed by Steven Spielberg.

Review: Dynamite - Green Hornet #2

The Green Hornet is back!

One of our most anticipated comic book series of the year returns next week with the release of Green Hornet #2 from Amy Chu and German Erramouspe. Shortly after taking up the fedora and trench coat of Century City's famed masked menace, Mulan heads out into the field to send a message to the criminals looking to move in on Britt's self-proclaimed territory.

However, for all her training, she soon learns that this isn't going to be any easy gig - especially with the cops looking to take down the Green Hornet once and for all. Fortunately, she's got some good friends by her side who'll make sure she'll do Britt's legacy proud.

The following day, back at the Daily Sentinel, father and daughter learn of a new costumed vigilante credited with taking down a terrorist ring. While Kato gets his team on the story, Mulan enlists the help of Tai Thomas to help her in the search for a missing Britt Reid.

Their search eventually leads them to Istanbul and the yacht of Telecom billionaire Sebastian Cabot. A former college friend and member of the mysterious Espada Society, Sebastian also happens to be the last one to have seen Britt before he vanished into thin air.

Once onboard, Tai and Mulan begin looking for clues as to Britt's whereabouts, but before they can get too far in their investigation, Sebastian is attacked by a group of black-clad assailants.

Mulan tries to protect the man, but is quickly outmatched.

This leaves the young heroine to watch in horror as Sebastian Cabot is gunned down right in front of her. In the process, the yacht catches fire, forcing Mulan to conduct a frantic search for Tai, whom she finds passed out below deck.

After reviving her friend and making sure she's all right, Mulan and Tai throw themselves overboard mere seconds before Sebastian's impressive ship is blown to kingdom come. However, the duo are soon rescued - by the last person they'd expected to find alive and well!

Once again, the latest issue of Green Hornet gave us everything we could've wanted in a comic book! From its fast-paced action and ever-expanding mystery, Amy Chu and German Erramouspe have once again crafted something truly spectacular - an updated take on a classic hero that actually stands worthy of the name Green Hornet!

They've continued to do the legacy proud.

And for that, we say thank you!

Rating: 5/5 - "Clearly, the timeless legacy of the Green Hornet is in good hands."

Green Hornet #2 arrives on newsstands Wednesday, April 4th.

Until next time, Infinite Earths fans!
