Black Panther Composer To Score Sony's Venom

Black Panther composer Ludwig Goransson has signed on to score Ruben Fleischer's Venom.

The Spider-Man spinoff will serve as a reunion for the pair, as Goransson previously scored Ruben Fleischer's 2011 film 30 Minutes Or Less, which starred Jesse Eisenberg.

In addition, Goransson has also scored such films as Ryan Coogler's Creed, Central Intelligence and Death Wish, as well as television shows like Community and New Girl. He also serves as producer on Donald Glover's Childish Gambino albums.

Venom is the first planned Spider-Man spinoff from Sony Pictures.

The studio also has plans for films featuring such Marvel Comics characters as Black Cat and Silver Sable, Morbius The Living Vampire and Nightwatch among others. These movies will not serve as part of the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, thus they'll also most likely not feature an appearance from Tom Holland's big screen wall-crawler.

Starring Tom Hardy, Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed and Michelle Williams, Venom will hit the big screen on Friday, October 5th. Will you be checking out the Spider-Man spinoff this Fall?
