Colin Trevorrow is returning to the land of dinosaurs.
"Colin Trevorrow is going to write and direct the third Jurassic World story," executive producer Steven Spielberg told Entertainment Weekly. Spielberg will also be back as an executive producer on the film, a role he's preformed for the franchise since Joe Johnson's Jurassic Park III roared into theaters back in July 2001.
Trevorrow directed and co-wrote Jurassic World back in 2015. That film relaunched the Jurassic Park franchise after almost fifteen years and went on to gross $1.67-Billion worldwide.
Trevorrow also co-wrote the script for this summer's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Trevorrow will collaborate with Emily Carmichael on a script for Jurassic World 3 based off a story by Trevorrow and co-writer Derek Connolly. Producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will also be back for the upcoming sequel, which hits theatres on June 11th, 2021.
