Deadpool 2 doesn't hit the big screen until May 18th, but it sounds as though the highly anticipated David Leitch sequel is already scoring well with audiences ahead of its release.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the X-Men spinoff scored as high as 98 during recent test screenings in Dallas, Texas. So far, the film has been tested three different times, with final scores for the first two screenings coming in at 91 and 97 respectively.
Not surprisingly, the version that scored 98 is the one Fox will release in theatres.
Interestingly, the highest test screening score Tim Miller's Deadpool received prior to its release back in February 2016 was 91 according to studio insiders. That movie went on to earn $783-Million and become the highest grossing X-Men film in cinematic history.
Deadpool 2 underwent six days worth of reshoots over in Vancouver, Canada last month to add more if what audiences enjoyed at the test screenings. That is three days less than those carried out for the first Deadpool movie. Additionally, two hours of work were done on the film in Los Angeles recently to add a top secret cameo to the highly anticipated sequel.
Starring Ryan Reynolds, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Stefan Kapicic, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni, Deadpool 2 arrives May 18th.
