Last August, word broke that Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodríguez would be voicing famed globetrotting thief Carmen Sandiego in an upcoming Netflix animated series.
Now, the streaming giant has announced that the actress will also be portraying the character in a live-action adaption of the popular 90's franchise.
Rodriguez will also produce via her I Can and I Will productions.
Kevin Misher and Caroline Fraser will also produce alongside Andy Berman.
For those who don't know, Carmen Sandiego was a staple of 80's and 90's education. Video games featuring the character began hitting stores in 1985, while an animated series ran from 1994 until 1999 on Fox Kids. The property was also developed into board games, a television game show, a Facebook game and a series of Choose Your Own Adventure books that were released between 1992 and 2012.
Rodriguez can currently be seen in the fourth season of critically acclaimed CW series Jane The Virgin, and is in theaters with Alex Garland's Annihilation.
The animated Carmen Sandiego series is set to debut on Netflix this year.
