Exciting news out of Hollywood today as the popular Netflix documentary series The Toys That Made Us has been renewed for a second season alongside four other shows.
The streaming service also renewed Queer Eye, Dope, Drug Lords, Nailed It! respectively.
"These series are indicative of what we're trying to accomplish for Netflix unscripted: working with world-class producers to create the best unscripted shows on television," said Netflix vice president of content Bela Bajaria in a statement earlier today.
The Toys That Made Us debuted last December with four episodes that offered an in-depth look at four if the pop culture world's most influential toy brands - Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe and G.I. Joe. The final four episodes of Season 1, which will look at Transformers, Star Trek, Hello Kitty and LEGO, arrive this coming summer.
A premiere date for the next season was not announced.
This is extremely exciting news. The Toys That Made Us was a fascinating trip into the world of pop culture and we can't wait to see what they've got planned for Season 2!
Psst, if anyone at The Nacelle Company is reading, Jurassic Park would be awesome!
Congratulations to everyone involved with the show!
