Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Tracking At $140-Million


We're only a few weeks away from the theatrical release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and now, analysts predict that the J.A. Bayona movie should stomp toward a massive $140-$150-Million North American debut come the weekend of June 22nd.

Unaided awareness for the film currently sits at 27% with total awareness at 94% and definite interest at 61%. Picking up four years after the events of the last installment, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sees Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s characters trying to save the remaining dinosaurs on Isla Nublar from cataclysmic extinction at the hands of a volcano.

When Jurassic World hit theatres in 2015, it defied expectations with a massive $208.8-Million domestic launch, and went on to gross $1.67-Billion worldwide.

It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

ILM To Handle VFX For Aquaman


From classics like Jurassic Park to modern blockbusters like Avengers, Industrial Light And Magic has been at the forefront of bringing audiences high quality entertainment for decades.

Now, the company has confirmed that they'll be handling the VFX work on James Wan's upcoming DCEU chapter, Aquaman. ILM has added Aquaman to the In Production section of their website, which includes other highly anticipated releases such as Captain Marvel and J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom among others.


ILM has worked on several big budget superhero flicks that have gone on to dominate the worldwide box office, so to have such a talented team diving into Aquaman bodes well for the King Of Atlantis ad his first ever big screen solo outing. Phillippe Rebours will serve as the VFX supervisor alongside Cedric Lo working as the Animation Supervisor.

Fred Palacio, Susan Greenhow and David Fox will also be involved.

Given their recent work on everything from Black Panther to Avengers: Infinity War, you should be! We're betting fans will not be disappointed with the VFX work they bring to the film.

Starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Dolph Lundgren, Ludi Lin, Temuera Morrison and Nicole Kidman, Aquaman hits theatres in the United Kingdom on Friday, December 14th, and North American theatres on Friday, December 21st.

Production Begins On Top Gun Sequel


Feel The Need.

Tom Cruise has taken to social media to announce the start of production on Maverick, the Paramount Pictures sequel to the 1986 classic Top Gun.

The actor posted a picture that shows his iconic character looking at his plane, with the words "Feel The Need" emblazoned over top of the image, a reference to one of the most famous lines from the original film. Check it out posted below...


Set in modern times, Top Gun: Maverick follows fighter pilots as they grapple with drone tech that is making their old style of flying obsolete. Cruise returns to the role of Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in the film, which is being directed by Tron: Legacy helmer Joseph Kosinski.

Jerry Bruckheimer returns to produce the sequel alongside Cruise and David Ellison.

Legendary German composer Harold Faltermeyer, who created the memorable synth score of Top Gun, is also returning to the production.

Top Gun: Maverick takes flight on July 12th, 2019.

James Marsden Joins Sonic The Hedgehog


X-Men actor James Marsden has joined the cast of the Sonic The Hedgehog movie, where he will be voicing the titular blue blur in his first ever big screen adventure.

Paramount's upcoming film based on the classic SEGA video game character will use a mix of live action and CGI. The film will be directed by first-timer Jeff Fowler.

Neal H. Moritz is producing the film, while Deadpool director Tim Miller executive producing, along with Toby Ascher. Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons will serve as co-producers.


Aside from playing the famed Marvel Mutant Cyclops in numerous X-Men movies at 20th Century Fox, James Marsden also currently stars as Teddy Flood on the HBO sci-fi hit Westworld.

Sonic was first introduced by SEGA in 1991. The speedy character headlined his own series of games on the Genesis gaming console, and was meant as a rival to Nintendo's Super Mario. 360-Million Sonic The Hedgehog games have sold since then.

The movie opens on November 15th, 2019.

Alura Heads To Earth In New Supergirl Images


The CW has released a batch of promotional images from the June 11th episode of Supergirl.

While there is no official synopsis for the episode, entitled Make It Reign, at this time, the images do offer a new look at Smallville alum Erica Durance back in the role of Alura Zor-El.
