From classics like Jurassic Park to modern blockbusters like Avengers, Industrial Light And Magic has been at the forefront of bringing audiences high quality entertainment for decades.
Now, the company has confirmed that they'll be handling the VFX work on James Wan's upcoming DCEU chapter, Aquaman. ILM has added Aquaman to the In Production section of their website, which includes other highly anticipated releases such as Captain Marvel and J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom among others.
ILM has worked on several big budget superhero flicks that have gone on to dominate the worldwide box office, so to have such a talented team diving into Aquaman bodes well for the King Of Atlantis ad his first ever big screen solo outing. Phillippe Rebours will serve as the VFX supervisor alongside Cedric Lo working as the Animation Supervisor.
Fred Palacio, Susan Greenhow and David Fox will also be involved.
Are you excited for ILM to be working on Aquaman?
Given their recent work on everything from Black Panther to Avengers: Infinity War, you should be! We're betting fans will not be disappointed with the VFX work they bring to the film.
Starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Dolph Lundgren, Ludi Lin, Temuera Morrison and Nicole Kidman, Aquaman hits theatres in the United Kingdom on Friday, December 14th, and North American theatres on Friday, December 21st.
