Ant-Man Sequel Tracking Toward $75-Million US Debut


The pre-release estimates for Ant-Man And The Wasp have hit the web, with analysts predicting that the Peyton Reed sequel could bow to a $75-Million debut here in North America on July 6th.

Paul Rudd returns to the titular role of Ant-Man, while Evangeline Lilly plays Hope van Dyne - the heroine who eventually dons the costumed alter ego of The Wasp.

The follow-up, set between the events in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, sees Ant-Man and the Wasp embark on a new mission from van Dyne's father and SHIELD inventor Hank Pym - portrayed once again by Michael Douglas.

Ant-Man And The Wasp is the twentieth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past. 

Starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park and Michael Peña, Ant-Man And The Wasp hits the big screen on Friday, July 6th.
