Director Matthew Vaughn is currently in the process of setting up Marv Studios, and he's revealed that a Kick-Ass reboot, a Hit-Girl solo film and at least two more Kingsman movies are currently in the works - thus revisiting characters first introduced in his 2010 adaptation.
According to Empire: The filmmaker is planning a reboot of the Kick-Ass series — and while he won’t confirm which incarnation of the character it would involve, he does strongly hint that Patience Lee, an African-American single mother who’s taken on the vigilante mantle, could be in the frame. A solo Hit-Girl film is also in discussion, and could either focus on an older Mindy Macready, or look at her younger years growing up under the tutelage of Big Daddy.
"We’re going to reboot Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl," Vaughn confirmed to the publication. "Look what Mark Millar is doing with the comic for clues."
But, that's not all! Currently, there is another Kingsman movie in the works and a spinoff entitled Kingsman: The Great Game. A Statesman film is also in the works.
So, if you're a fan of Mark Miller, you've got a lot to look forward to according to Matthew Vaughn. Which one of these upcoming Marv Studios projects are you most excited for?
