Respawn Entertainment has a new video game on the way - one set in a galaxy far, far away...
The game is entitled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and sees players take control of a surviving Padawan following the execution of Order 66 seen in Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith.
"It takes place during the Dark Times when the Jedi are being hunted," Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella revealed during the EA Games E3 press conference this weekend. "So it’s gonna be spectacular."
He further teased the story will take place between Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope, to place it in the context of the grander Star Wars timeline. Aside from that, all we know is that the game will drop sometime during the 2019 holiday season.
God Of War director Stig Asmussen will helm the new game.
"I have been playing Star Wars games my whole life, now I get to make a Star Wars game," Asmussen wrote online back in 2016. "On top of that, I get to do it at Respawn, a studio comprised of the most talented collection of game makers, creators, visionaries, and (most importantly) advocates for the player, that I have had the good fortune to work with. And we, like you all, have no shortage of Star Wars passion."
