Barry and Iris' daughter is staying put for the time being.
Actress Jessica Parker Kennedy, who portrays speedster Nora West-Allen, has been promoted to a series regular on The Flash ahead of the show's upcoming fifth season this Fall.
An original character created specifically for the DC TV Universe, Nora made her debut appearance in the Supergirl segment of this year's DC TV crossover, Crisis On Earth-X. She would continue to pop up on The Flash throughout the season, and was later revealed to possess super speed just like her father. In the Season 4 finale, Nora even showed up to help Barry save Central City. She would later pop up at the end of the episode to reveal her identity to her future parents and admit that she had made a very big mistake. While the nature of said mistake has yet to be revealed, we're guessing it has something to do with time travel - especially given who her father is.
News of Jessica Parker Kennedy's promotion comes just days after it was announced that Hartley Sawyer, who portrays the Elongated Man on The Flash, had also been bumped up to a series regular on the show heading into Season 5. Actress Danielle Nicolet, who plays Central City district attorney Cecil Horton, will also be upped to a series regular on the show this season.
The Flash is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, showrunner Todd Helbing and Sarah Schechter. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
The Flash returns Tuesdays this Fall at 8pm.
