Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer, has taken to social media to tease the upcoming setting of Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman sequel.
The tease reads WW84, suggesting the film will be set in 1984.
The first Wonder Woman film was set in 1917 during the First World War.

Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot are returning for the 1980s-set story set against the backdrop of the cold war. The new film will introduce the villain Cheetah, to be played by Kristen Wiig. Pedro Pascal will also star in an as yet undisclosed role.
The first Wonder Woman was a huge success for Warner Bros., grossing $821-Million worldwide and becoming the top-grossing film of all time from a solo female director.
Wonder Woman 2 arrives on November 1st, 2019.
Production on the sequel kicks off this summer.
