Emma Thompson is returning to the world of Men In Black.
The Beauty And The Beast actress is joining Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in Sony’s upcoming spinoff, which will begin production in London this month. Liam Neeson, Rafe Spall, Kumail Nanjiani and the all-star street-dancing duo Les Twins are also part of the cast.
Thompson will reprise the role of Agent O, the chief of the Men in Black organization.
Specific plot details for the spinoff are unknown, but the film is planning on taking the iconic franchise toward a bigger and more global scale than previous installments. Additionally, the spinoff will take place in the same world as the last three films, although previous stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are not expected to play a part in the new movie.
F. Gary Gray is directing from a script penned by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.
The studio has the film dated for June 14th, 2019.
