More Marvel Shows Planned By ABC

Let's be honest here. While Marvel constantly kills it at the box office with blockbusters like Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther, they really haven't had the same success on the small screen. Inhumans bombed, Marvel's Most Wanted never got picked up, Agent Carter got canned after two seasons and Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't exactly a ratings juggernaut.

Still, ABC is moving ahead with more Marvel shows and has a few projects already in development. Speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, network president  Channing Dungey broke the news to The Hollywood Reporter.

"We’re cooking up a couple things for broadcast. There’s one that I want to talk about and [Marvel TV head] Jeph Loeb won’t let me."

Dungey also took a moment to address the sixth season delay of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which won't be back until next summer. "It’s my hope that by moving it to summer, where our live-same-day ratings are less important and it might be able to continue for longer."

  1. Power Pack. Make a show for kids, but don't make it dumb. Be smart in the plots and characters like say Avatar and put an actual budget so it doesn't look some mid-90's syndicated crap on a UHF station. Get those who have worked with the characters in comics to work on/with the show and make a smart series kids and their parents can enjoy.
