Furious 7 and Guardians Of The Galaxy actor Djimon Hounsou has been tapped to portray one of the Bosley characters in the upcoming Charlie's Angels reboot at Sony Pictures.
The new film takes the classic Townsend Agency and reimagines it as a global security and intelligence organization. Bosley is now the codename for the handlers of each team, with both X-Men icon Sir Patrick Stewart and Hunger Games staple Elizabeth Banks also playing different versions of Bosley in the new movie
Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska are set to portray the film’s Angels. Jonathan Tucker and Luis Gerardo Méndez will also star in the film, which is directed by Elizabeth Banks.
Jay Basu and Banks wrote the film's script. Banks and Max Handelman will produce under their Brownstone Productions banner, along with Doug Belgrad, who is also co-financing through his 2.0 Entertainment, and Elizabeth Cantillon.
Djimon Hounsou has also appeared on television shows like ER and films like Gladiator and The Island. He'll reprise his role as Korath the Pursuer in next year's Captain Marvel, and will also appear as the Fisher King in December's Aquaman and the Wizard in Shazam!
Charlie's Angels is slated for release on September 27th, 2019.
