Jeremy Davies Joins DC TV Crossover

Jeremy Davies is heading to the DC Universe.

The Lost and Sleepy Hollow alum will portray central villain John Deegan, a doctor at Arkham Asylum For the Criminally Insane in Gotham City, who may just be crazier than the inmates he treats. His machinations will draw Green Arrow, the Flash and Supergirl to Gotham City.

There's almost certainly more to this dark doctor than there appears on the surface, and the fact that he's at Arkham means there's no shortage of psychopaths at hand to recruit to his cause.

While it is not yet confirmed, this character sounds a lot like the classic DC Comics villain Doctor Destiny. Known as Dr. John Dee, Destiny first appeared in DC Comics back in 1961 and used his astonishing genius to create astounding devices for crime. He would spend some time in Arkham Asylum, and would eventually learn to manipulate the dreams of all whom he chose.

Could Oliver and Company be squaring off with Doctor Destiny this Fall?

Whatever the case, Davies is well suited to portraying a darker DC character.

Aside from appearing on everything from American Gods to Hannibal, fans will no doubt also recognize Jeremy Davies as Ritchie Simpson from the short-lived NBC series Constantine and the Justice League Dark animated film from last February.

Davies is the latest newcomer to join the upcoming DC TV crossover event joining the likes of Elizabeth Tulloch as Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane, Ruby Rose as the Gotham based vigilante Batwoman, and Tyler Hoechlin back in the role of Superman.

Plot details surrounding this season's DC TV crossover are unknown at this time.

The event kicks off on Sunday, December 9th with The Flash, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10th and Tuesday, December 11th with Supergirl.
