Review: DC Comics - Batman: Kings Of Fear #2

Gotham Becomes The Stuff Of Nightmares!

The Scarecrow is loose in Gotham City following a planned breakout from Arkham Asylum - and it's up to the Batman to bring him back behind bars. However, that's easier said than done when you've been dosed with the strongest fear toxin in the villain's arsenal.

This transforms the city that Batman has sworn to protect into the stuff of nightmares - a bleak and terrifying landscape populated by the Caped Crusader's most fearsome foes, where the innocent are preyed upon without mercy and it's near impossible to differentiate friend from foe.

The latest issue of Batman: Kings Of Fear is a terrifying dive into the heart of madness! A frightful feast for the eyes populated by an engaging plot and iconic art that looks as though it was ripped right out of the 1990's! Fans will be hard pressed to find a book that so perfectly captures this bygone era of Batman comics so perfectly!

Scott Peterson and Kelley Jones have combined their talents to form one of the most engaging Batman books of the year!It looks and feels like something straight out of yesteryear and has us craving more thanks to its classic styling and plot!

It may not be for everyone, but we can't get enough!

Batman fans should give this one a chance!

Rating: 5/5 - "A frightful feast for the eyes! A terrifying dive into the heart of madness!"
