Review: DC Comics - Green Lanterns #55

Welcome To The New Green Lantern Corps.

Cyborg Superman has made his presence known, and now stands poised to take over the Green Lantern Corps. Heading for Mogo with the Ravagers in tow, Henshaw's armada could spell the end of the intergalactic police force as we know it.

Fortunately, all hope is not lost as Jessica Cruz, Kyle Rayner and the other Lanterns race to the rescue - or, so they think. As things turn out, Cyborg Superman wasn't only successful in hacking the Central Power Battery, but also downloading his consciousness into the rings of every Green Lantern within the corps. Thus, with a mere wave of his hand, Henshaw is able to drain the rings of all whom he chooses - just in time for Eon and the Ravagers to move in for the kill!

However, Henshaw missed one crucial little detail - the return of Hal Jordan! Now the only Lantern without an infecting ring, the famed hero must take his stand against Cyborg Superman once and for all, before the corps is lost forever!

Dan Jurgens and Mike Perkins have unleashed an excellent new issue of Green Lanterns!

Combining an exciting plot with panels-a-plenty filled with striking imagery, this book continues to stand as one of the best Green Lantern books of the modern age! Add to that the fact that this one ends on a pretty dramatic cliff hanger, and you've got the makings of pretty epic looking showdown between man and machine!

If you're a fan of all things Green Lantern, you won't want to miss this one!

Rating: 5/5 - "Combining an exciting plot with plenty of striking imagery, this book continues to stand with the best!"
