Review: DC Comics - Heroes In Crisis #1

How does a superhero handle PTSD?

From former by C.I.A.-operative-turned-comics-writer Tom King and artist Clay Mann comes the debut issue of the very exciting Heroes In Crisis! In its pages, readers are welcomed to Sanctuary, an ultra-secret hospital for superheroes who’ve been traumatized in the line of duty by everything from crime fighting to cosmic combat.

However, something starts going horribly wrong when several heroes wind up dead during treatment - and Harley Quinn and Booster Gold are the prime suspects at the centre of it all! Now, it's up to the likes Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman to head up an investigation.

But, can DC's almighty trinity get the job done in the face of overwhelming opposition?

The debut issue of Heroes In Crisis offers up a rather fascinating look into the rarely seen mental trauma suffered by heroes in the line of duty! It's chilling, unique and looks to be on the path toward one seriously engaging tale at its core!

Who is killing the heroes of the DC Universe? How are Booster Gold and Harley Quinn involved in it all? And will they manage to not kill each other before the investigation comes to an end? Find out this week in the pages of Heroes In Crisis!

Rating: 5/5 - "A fascinating look into the rarely seen mental trauma suffered by heroes in the line of duty!"
