Patrick Stewart is in final negotiations to join the reboot of Charlie's Angels.
Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska and Elizabeth Banks also star.
The new story takes the female-fronted detective-agency premise of the original television series and takes it global. In the film, which is being directed and produced by Elizabeth Banks, the Townsend Agency is now a security and intelligence service that has teams around the world.
The movie will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels.
Additionally, the film looks to have multiple characters named Bosley, who in the past acted as the face of the detective agency. Banks will portray Bosley in the movie, with sources also informing The Hollywood Reporter that Stewart will also play a Bosely.
Banks and Jay Basu wrote the script.
Producing with Banks are husband Max Handelman, Doug Belgrad and Elizabeth Cantillon.
Sony has set the release of Charlie's Angels for September 27th, 2019.
