Xander Berkeley is heading back to the DC Universe.
The Walking Dead alum, who has also voiced numerous DC Comics characters over the years in everything from Superman/Batman: Public Enemies to Teen Titans and Beware The Batman, has joined the cast of Supergirl ahead of its Season 4 debut next month.
Berkley will portray Peter Lockwood, father of Agent Liberty Ben Lockwood, on the show.
The character is described as a middle-class factory owner struggling to make ends meet in a world that’s rapidly changing due to the rise of aliens from outer space living amongst us. Additionally, he is also proud and single-minded, a family man who’s dedicated his life providing for people. The seeds of his discontent sows the beginning of an anti-alien wave.
Xander Berkley joins a cast that already includes the likes of Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jesse Rath, David Harewood, and Katie McGrath. Newcomers to the DC TV drama this season include Sam Witwer, Rhona Mitra, Robert Baker, and Nicole Maines.
Supergirl returns Sunday, October 14th at 8pm.
