The Lion King Gets New Character Posters

With Aladdin currently ruling the box office, anticipation is already building toward the next Disney live-action feature film - Jon Favreau's The Lion King.

Currently tracking towards a debut in the ballpark of $180-$230-Million, it looks like Disney will soon have another hit on their hands before the summer is up. Now, they've released a very nice selection of character posters for the film - each focusing on one of the many CGI animals set to make up the on-screen ensemble this coming July.

The Lion King is a live-action adaptation of the hit animated feature film which featured the voice talents of Matthew Broderick, James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, and Whoopi Goldberg.

The new film features a voice cast that includes Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Seth Rogan, John Oliver, Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Kani and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

The film opens in theatres on July 19th.

Mothra & Rodan Soar Into The Monsterarts Line

Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is stomping into theatres this weekend, and Tamashii Nations is celebrating with two new additions to the Monsterarts line - Mothra and Rodan.

These two titanic kaiju share the screen with Godzilla and King Ghidorah this summer, and the new action figures perfectly capture the mammoth monsters as they appear on screen.

These 6" figures will be sold together for $114 USD, and will ship out this November.

Mothra (2019) and Rodan (2019) appeared in SH MonsterArts from "Godzilla King of Monsters" released on May 31st. Based on 3D data of movies.

NECA has unveiled a new exclusive for San Diego Comic Con.

Recreating a classic DC Comics / Dark Horse Comics crossover event from the mid-90's, the Superman vs. Aliens set sees the Man Of Steel taking on a terrifying Xenomorph.

In the 1995 Superman/Aliens comic book mini-series co-published by DC Comics and Dark Horse, Superman faces the ferocious Xenomorphs on a search-and-rescue mission to a planet without a yellow sun, the source of his immense power.
The set includes two brand new, comic book based figures, both with over 30 points of articulation. Superman stands approximately 7” tall, features a fabric cape and comes with attachable eye blast effect. The Alien stands approximately 9” tall and has a bendable tail.
This action figure 2-pack is inspired by classic comic book mash-ups! This set is based on a DC/Dark Horse mini-series and comes in window box packaging with embossed opening flap.
